Update On Devices To Support Remote Learning

Dear Parents/Carers,

I hope that you are all keeping safe and well and once again thank you for the support that you are providing to your children in order for them to be able to access learning from home.

As previously mentioned, school was only allocated 25 devices from the government that we are able to loan to families. We have had to issue these devices based on the needs and individual circumstances of the people who requested them based on the information that you provided us with. The first 25 devices have now been distributed which means that many of you will be feeling disappointed. We understand your disappointment and frustration and sincerely wish that we were able to issue more devices but we can only give out the numbers that we have.

SLT, along with the ICT team have been working incredibly hard to source more devices in order to support more families. We have an additional 30 devices that we will now look at allocating to some more families who requested them. If you are fortunate enough to receive one, a member of school staff will contact you.

I appreciate that this situation is by no means ideal for anyone and understand the concerns you have related to your child’s learning. I can assure you, however, that all school staff are doing their best to support you as best they can.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Keep safe and well.

Best Wishes,
Mr. Knibbs
