Firstly, I hope that you, your children and your families are all keeping safe, well and healthy during what can only be described as a very surreal and challenging time for us all. All of the staff at Highfield are missing seeing the children on a daily basis and are eagerly looking forward to welcoming you back as soon as it is safe for us to do so. We have been in contact with a number of parents and would like to thank the many of you who have wished us all well. These wishes are reciprocated from the entire Highfield team to all of you. Working together and supporting each other, we will ensure that we are able to navigate our way through this difficult time.

During the coronavirus outbreak and this period of school closure, we are now pleased to be able to offer eligible parents and pupils access to free school meals by supplying supermarket eGift cards, that can be spent locally to you. The DfE have funded these eGift cards as part of a national scheme. You will be able to choose which supermarket you would like an eGift card for including Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and more.
Eligible families will be receiving their initial eCode via email w/c 20th April which can be redeemed online for an eGift card for the supermarket of your choice. You will then receive eCodes on a weekly basis until further notice (during term time only).
We will publish further information w/c 20th April once the initial eCodes have been distributed.
Please note: the launch of this voucher scheme means that we will no longer be offering daily packed lunches for collection.
Thank you for your continued support at this challenging time.
The above information is for any parent who has a child eligible for Free School Meals (not including those eligible for the Universal meal offer for EYFS/Key Stage 1).
